ASQ-233 Training Support

SRC was awarded a task by Polatomic Inc to develop multi-media courseware for operation and maintenance training of the ASQ-233 Laser Magnetometer System; and provide initial training to the Test & Evaluation (T&E) team and the Navy Fleet Introduction Team (FIT) Instructors in conjunction with ASQ-233 kit installation.  

Polatomic, Inc. was awarded a $32.7 million contract in September 2008 by Naval Air Systems Command to provide AN/ASQ-233 Submarine Detecting Sets for modernizing the U.S. Navy's fleet of P-3C Orion maritime patrol aircraft. The Polatomic laser-based magnetic detecting system is a 30X improvement in sensitivity over the system currently in the fleet and provides reliable detection of small submarines in shallow water.
